Under ett lunchseminarium i september p\u00e5 Chalmers tekniska h\u00f6gskola fanns forskare fr\u00e5n projektet Green Valleys p\u00e5 plats f\u00f6r att ber\u00e4tta om potentialen att anv\u00e4nda restprodukter fr\u00e5n gr\u00f6n bioraffinering i olika textila material. Ett tillf\u00e4lle f\u00f6r att sprida resultat och likv\u00e4l ett gr\u00e4ns\u00f6verskridande utbyte mellan Danmark och Sverige.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Fr\u00e5n Danmark deltog Birgit Bonefeld, forskare vid Aarhus Universitet i Foulum, och fr\u00e5n Sverige Christel Cederberg, forskare vid Chalmers, Julia Ronkainen p\u00e5 Warg\u00f6n Innovation, samt deltagare fr\u00e5n Agrov\u00e4st och Naturbruksf\u00f6rvaltningen, V\u00e4stra G\u00f6talandsregionen.<\/p>\n

Green Valleys skapar f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttningar f\u00f6r ett viktigt gr\u00e4ns\u00f6verskridande kunskapsutbyte mellan Sverige och Danmark, d\u00e4r Sverige \u00e4r ett f\u00f6reg\u00e5ngsland inom utvecklingen av cirkul\u00e4r och biobaserad textil. Danmark har en mindre textilindustri, men \u00e4r mycket l\u00e4ngre fram g\u00e4llande nya tekniker f\u00f6r gr\u00f6n bioraffinering.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Fr\u00e5n lantbruk till modebranschen<\/h3>\n

I Green Valleys ing\u00e5r att utv\u00e4rdera potentialen i anv\u00e4ndningen av restprodukter fr\u00e5n gr\u00f6n bioraffinering. Ett sp\u00e5r \u00e4r att anv\u00e4nda den fiberrika presskakan som f\u00e5s fram efter pressning i olika textila material, vilket \u00f6kar m\u00f6jligheterna till nya cirkul\u00e4ra aff\u00e4rsmodeller d\u00e4r b\u00e5de lantbrukare och textilbranschen kan dra nytta av varandra. Detta skulle kunna leda till en framtid d\u00e4r lantbrukare inom bioraffinering kan s\u00e4lja sin presskaka och d\u00e4r textilbranschen f\u00e5r en ny mer h\u00e5llbar r\u00e5vara f\u00f6r produktion av textilfiber.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Inom projektet l\u00f6per b\u00e5de en teknisk del och en industrin\u00e4ra del. Den tekniska delen leds av Aarhus Universitet med Birgit Bonefeld i spetsen. D\u00e4r handlar f\u00f6rsta steget om att bearbeta presskakan till en cellulosamassa f\u00f6r anv\u00e4ndningsomr\u00e5den inom exempelvis textilier och cellulosabaserade f\u00f6rpackningar.<\/p>\n

Julia Ronkainen p\u00e5 Warg\u00f6n Innovation kommer tillsammans med Naturbruksf\u00f6rvaltningen p\u00e5 V\u00e4stra G\u00f6talandsregionen, leda det industrin\u00e4ra arbetet d\u00e4r man genom intervjuer och workshops med textilbranschen ska unders\u00f6ka marknadsbehov och potentiell l\u00f6nsamhet f\u00f6r olika anv\u00e4ndningsomr\u00e5den.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Biobaserad textil \u2013 viktigt i klimatomst\u00e4llningen<\/h3>\n

Textilindustrin \u00e4r en resursintensiv bransch med betydande h\u00e5llbarhetsutmaningar. De vanligaste materialslagen \u00e4r bomull och fossilbaserad polyester, vilka b\u00e5da \u00e4r f\u00f6rknippade med stor negativ milj\u00f6p\u00e5verkan.<\/p>\n

Sveriges textilkonsumtion orsakar utsl\u00e4pp p\u00e5 \u00f6ver fyra miljoner ton koldioxidekvivalenter. Det motsvarar utsl\u00e4pp fr\u00e5n 850 000 varv runt jorden med bil (Naturv\u00e5rdsverket, 2023). Efterfr\u00e5gan p\u00e5 biobaserad r\u00e5vara \u00f6kar och det finns stor potential att ers\u00e4tta de mindre h\u00e5llbara materialen. Det p\u00e5g\u00e5r en cirkul\u00e4r omst\u00e4llning inom EU och textil \u00e4r ett prioriterat omr\u00e5de.<\/p>\n<\/div>
